Gym Construction -Impact Construction Management

So you want to build a new gym? It may sound somewhat “straightforward” on the surface. But then you start to think about everything. What is the best location? How should I lay out the equipment? What about the bathrooms, lockers and technology needed to make it happen? There are so many things to consider with any new gym construction project.

At Impact Construction Management, we’ve been fortunate enough to partner with iconic gyms and workout facilities around the country, such as LA Fitness. We take on each new project with the goal of bringing our client’s vision to life. Each time we hand over the keys, we want the gym owners to know they’re ready to open the door for business right away.

But before we get to that point, here are just 5 of the things we guide our clients through with every gym construction project:

Location & Space – where will your gym be located and how big is it going to be? Those are the two most important questions, of course. A lot of that depends upon exactly what services and amenities will be offered. Many people aren’t exactly sure in the beginning and that’s where we have the opportunity to step in by providing proven advice.

Parking – first thing’s first, where is it best to position the building so that you can have adequate parking space for members and visitors? This is very important to consider when putting together the initial plans for your gym construction project.

Flooring – what type of flooring are you wanting to install in the gym? Will there be multiple types? Well, if you’re including a basketball court along with a place for weights, there’s going to need to be consideration given to the grade of flooring used to meet each need. Flooring costs can add up quickly, so it’s important to work with a provider who can help you weigh all of the long term pros and cons.

Locker rooms – every gym must have some sort of locker room area. If not planned properly, these can be an absolute logistical nightmare. Where are the showers placed, the lockers, etc. Careful thought needs to be given to each and every aspect of the locker room because it will determine the plumbing for the entire building and so much more.

TVs/Technology – Whoa! This is a big one. Of course any gym needs to have TVs, but how many? And where do you put them? What about music and wiring for workout classes? There are a ton of things to consider and things are changing all the time. By partnering with a company such as Impact Construction Management, you can rest assured that.

White Glove Treatment

This finish it all off, every gym construction management project includes our white glove treatement.  We believe first impressions are a big deal and we want the first impression of your space to be just as you had envisioned, with no mess or headaches to deal with.  This  s a HUGE deal, especially in gym construction because it means you’ll be able to get up and running right away with none of the mess.
